GE Volunteers, a voluntary network through which GE fosters the development of the communities where GE employees work and live, hosted an Iftar for special needs children at the “Senses – Residential & Daycare for Special Needs” center for rehabilitation in Dubai.

The Iftar, which was attended by 20 students, is part of several community initiatives being organized by GE Volunteers in line with the corporate social responsibility of the company.

Lara El Saad, UAE Leader of GE Volunteers said: “GE Volunteers is committed to building partnerships with the local community, and community Iftars highlight the spirit of camaraderie and sharing that marks the Holy Month of Ramadan. Our initiative to host the Iftar for students at the Senses Center is our third activity for GE Volunteers in the UAE and reiterates our focus on reaching out to all cross-sections of the society, especially children.”

GE Volunteers actively participated in the festive event. A sumptuous spread of delicacies was prepared for the Iftar and the students received gifts. Several games, face painting sessions, clown acts and other entertainment events were arranged to engage the children.
